I had a chat with a Cikgu Mas last few week. Don’t know somehow the Tuna subject came out. She asking me about the size and look of the fish.Already made a promise to blog about tuna :P..This one for Cikgu Mas
Tuna also know as “aya budak” in Malay(Please correct me if im wrong). For small size it been call “Tongkol“. As i being told. Our fisherman call “Tongkol” for small tuna and “Aya Budak” for bigger size.
Tuna can grow up to few hundred kilos weight. Posting over the internet said the biggest caught is 679Kg(WikiAnswer). This fish never stop swimming(from Animal Planet) and one of the fastest swimmer in the sea. Around 70km/hour. For small and medium size it normally swim in a school. But for big size normally in a small group(1-5 in a group).
Around 48 different species of Tuna. (Wikipedia)
I cannot find a photo shoot taken underwater. Shot taken in a Bitung fisherman harbor.
